About Gurnard Village Hall

The hall was opened in 1938. The land was given to the ladies of the village, by Mr. Westbrook, a local builder, for a WI hall.

Gurnard WI hall has been used as a village hall for many years --- it is the jewel in the crown for Gurnard. It is a friendly cherished hall to all who come in contact with it. It is a living breathing heart of village life and we are all very proud it is still with us

In 2006 the hall was in danger of being closed and lost to the village. Following discussions between the WI and Parish Council the Hall became leased to the Parish Council on a 99 year lease.
