Gurnard Village Hall is in the heart of Gurnard and provides an excellent venue for community events, coffee mornings, concerts, family celebrations and for other clubs or groups.
The Village Hall, 50 Worsley Road, PO31 8JR charity number XT 6178, is set back from the traffic at the end of a short lane, marked by 2 large wooden notice boards, and by the finger post opposite. There is a small amount of parking for 5 or 6 small cars for those with disabilities, or to deliver and drop off goods and services at the front of the Hall. The Hall has an enclosed garden suitable for sitting out and children’s play
The Village Hall has been extensively refurbished since 2007 when Gurnard Parish Council leased it from the Gurnard Bay W.I.
The Village Hall is fully insulated and double glazed, with new gas heaters, excellent lighting, and fitted kitchen equipped with cutlery and crockery for about 100, and a continuous hot water boiler, microwave and mini oven.
The Village Hall is accessible for wheelchair users, and has a fully accessible lavatory.
At one end of the hall is a stage with curtains and spotlights which can be used for plays and concerts. The hall is licensed for music and has a piano, a P.A system and amplifier and loop system for hearing aid users. There is a blu-ray & DVD player with surround sound and a large screen for the showing of films, or power-point display black out blinds are on each door and window. The hall has broad band/wifi via wight fibre.
